The Concept of CASA KITON:
Sartorial Elegance Meets Warmth
The “Casa Kiton” concept redefines the retail experience: stepping into the showroom means entering a refined Neapolitan home, where every detail reflects quality, heritage, and a deep sense of hospitality. Francesco Della Femina captures this spirit by designing an emotional journey through spaces filled with warmth and character. Seamlessly blending tradition and sophistication, the showroom feels like an extension of the Kiton family. It’s not just a store, it’s a home where clients are welcomed with authenticity and grace, immersed in the soul of sartorial excellence.
Rhythmic Architecture and Neapolitan Soul
Inspired by the noble palaces of Naples, the layout follows a linear sequence of rooms, each with its own unique mood. Grand hand-carved walnut portals mark the transition from one space to another, creating rhythm and visual harmony. Geometric wallpaper by Cole & Son lines the ceilings in a palette that changes room by room—an homage to the painted ceilings of Naples’ historic center. This architectural rhythm turns each step into a ceremonial gesture, guiding visitors through a curated journey rooted in tradition and tailored to contemporary luxury.
The Staircase as a Theatrical Experience
A key visual statement in the project is the grand staircase leading to the bespoke area upstairs. Crafted in Carrara marble and brass, it becomes a sculptural element that welcomes visitors like open arms. Illuminated from below, the floating steps seem to levitate above a walnut base, surrounded by a striped wallcovering that mimics fine tailoring. The suspended bubble lights add vertical grace and enchantment. More than a passage, this staircase is a sensory experience—an elegant ascent into the heart of Kiton’s sartorial universe.
Tailored Details and Storytelling Materials
Every material and design element in the space tells a story of craftsmanship and vision. From silk-upholstered doors to soft velvets, from custom wood paneling to handcrafted furniture made in Naples, the attention to detail is absolute. Masculine and feminine areas are carefully differentiated through shapes and finishes—bold geometry for men’s, rounded softness for women’s. Iconic design pieces mix with antique elements to create a lived-in, timeless feel. At Casa Kiton, luxury is not ostentation, it’s subtle, emotional, and deeply personal.
Light, Art and Memory: The Soul of Kiton in Space
Light is one of the true protagonists in Casa Kiton. Gentle fabrics filter the natural glow, while reflective surfaces and carefully positioned lamps create a warm, enveloping atmosphere. Artworks on the walls evoke Kiton’s essence—a blend of vintage prints and contemporary photography, including a striking black-and-white image of Villa San Michele, a shared symbol between Kiton and Della Femina. At the heart of the showroom lies a central room paved in book-matched Carrara marble—a focal point where elegance and energy converge. This is more than design—it’s memory, identity, and vision united.
